According to a source, Neymar, 31, has agreed to personal terms with Saudi club Al-Hilal, effectively ending his time at Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar al Al-Hilal

According to reports, Neymar has agreed to sign with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

It is widely believed that the 31-year-old forward for Paris Saint-Germain would sign a two-year contract with the Saudi Pro League club worth a staggering Β£138million.

It’s the end of Neymar’s disappointing run with PSG; he’ll be joining the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, and Roberto Firmino in the Middle East after six years and a record Β£198m deal from Barcelona.

According to the French publication L’Equipe, talks between the two teams are continuing and a fee of roughly Β£78 million is very close to being agreed upon.

In order to construct a younger and more hungry team under new head coach Luis Enrique, PSG is reportedly looking to trade away their previous talisman this summer. It is expected that Neymar, along with Leandro Paredes and Renato Sanches, would leave the Parc des Princes this summer after being advised to find a new club.

ImageBarcelona was rumored to be interested in bringing Neymar back to the Camp Nou in an unusual comeback, but in light of Saudi Arabia’s unrivaled financial resources, the club may try to revive a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix instead.

The summer has been a hectic one for Al-Hilal. Despite offering a world-record transfer cost, they were unable to sign Messi or Neymar’s teammate Kylian Mbappe, but they did manage to sign Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Malcom.

There were both high points and down points during the Brazil legend’s stay at PSG. Neymar and PSG failed year after year to win the Champions League after joining in 2017.

Fans at Parc des Princes were understandably frustrated by his lengthy absences from games; he only played 112 times in the league over a six-year period. The winger’s connection with the PSG faithful has broken down beyond repair after years of abuse at the hands of incessant booing and insults.
