Fans sympathize after Ronaldo missed a goal as bɑttle 1vs1 on frustrating night that make Al-Nassr lose AGAIN to Saudi small club

CRISTIANO RONALDO made a mess of a one-on-one as Al-Nassr’s nightmare start to the season went on.

The Portuguese superstar was out injured when his side lost to Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson’s Al-Ettifaq in their Saudi Pro League opener last week.

He was back to face minnows Al-Taawoun – but might have wished he wasn’t.

Ronaldo started for Al-Nassr, alongside fellow big-name imports Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Anderson Talisca and Seko Fofana.

But they could not stop Taawoun star Leandre Tawamba giving the visitors a unbelievable lead in the 20th minute.

And when Ronaldo had a golden chance to draw his side level after the break, he completely fluffed his lines.

But fluffed his lines and lost the ball

And after the halftime, Ronaldo utterly flubbed his lines when he had a wonderful opportunity to tie the game for his team.

A through pass was caught by the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, who only had the goalkeeper standing between him and the goal.

But before the defenders in retreat took control of him, he hesitated before firing and attempted to round the goalkeeper.

If Ronaldo had scored, he might have already been called for offside.

But fans could not believe it as they watched on with some pointing out the former Man United stars decline is starting to show.

One Tweeted: “This decline is honestly sad to see…”

A second commented: “He’s finished.”

A third wrote: “Really sad to see man 💔.”

A fourth said: “That’s rough man.”

While another added: “Honestly a sad sight.”

Al-Nassr would pay for the mistake when Ahmed Bahusayn secured the victory for Taawoun in stoppage time after Ronaldo missed the post with another fantastic opportunity.

Al-Nassr came in second place in the Saudi Pro League previous season, and this season’s tournament will be difficult for them to win.

Many European talents have moved to high-paying clubs in the league, all of which will be vying for the league title.
