BREAKING: Mason Greenwood has announced the club he is joining after Man United released him today

Mason Greenwood has now released a statement in response to Manchester United’s recent decision to part ways with him.

Manchester United stated on Monday afternoon that Greenwood, 21, will no longer be a player for the team. The group intends to “work with” the participant to “achieve that outcome.”

Following his arrest by Greater Manchester Police last year on charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behavior, and violence after a female filed complaints online, Manchester United was required to conduct their own internal investigation.

Despite the fact that all prior claims against the 21-year-old forward had been dropped for a lack of proof, Manchester United had been contemplating whether or not to reintegrate him. The Englishman will not play for the club again, despite the fact that it had initially seemed as though they might. This was confirmed in a statement released on Monday and uploaded on their official website.

Mason Greenwood makes a declaration.

Greenwood has already responded with a statement of his own in light of the news that he will need to restart his career elsewhere.

As stated by UtdReport, Greenwood said in a statement, “I want to start by saying I understand that people will judge me based on what they have seen and heard on social media, and I know many will believe the worst.

“I did not do the things I was accused of, and in February I was cleared of all accusations. I was raised to understand that violence or abuse in any relationship is terrible. However, I completely acknowledge the mistakes I made in our relationship and accept responsibility for my part in the events that led to the social media post.

“I’m focusing on the major duty of being a good father and partner, as well as learning to grasp my obligations as a professional football player to set a good example.

“Manchester United, my family, and I worked together to come to this choice today. The best course of action for everyone involved is for me to continue my football career elsewhere, away from Old Trafford, where my presence won’t cause the team any trouble. I appreciate the club’s assistance ever since I joined at the age of seven. There will always be a United part of me.

“I owe a great deal of gratitude to my family and all of my loved ones for their support, and now it’s up to me to earn their confidence back. I want to improve as a player and, more significantly, as a father and a person, and I want to make good use of my abilities both on and off the field.

In 129 appearances in all competitions while playing for the club, Greenwood—who was promoted to the senior first team in 2019—scored 35 goals and contributed 12 assists.
