Jude Bellingham, an English midfielder, has reportedly been charged with replacing star striker Karim Benzema, according to Carlo Ancelotti, who lavished praise on the player.

 The international from England has already scored three goals in his first two games for his new team, sweeping La Liga by storm. Karim Benzema departed Madrid to join Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, and Madrid has not yet found a successor.

Ancelotti has modified his formation this season to use Bellingham as a number 10 directly behind two split strikers in place of a traditional number nine.

Ancelotti responded to a question from Radio Serie A regarding Madrid’s decision to forgo adding a striker after Benzema left: “We believe that the arrival of Bellingham covers the departure of Karim. [Bellingham] is a boy of great quality who is serious and mature. For those of us who know him, what he is doing is not shocking; rather, what is astonishing is how young he is—only 20 years old. The player, who recently declared that he is “10 times better” at Real Madrid following an ostensibly contentious departure from Borussia Dortmund, is clearly enjoying his time with Los Blancos.
