Man United star Antony bursted in tears in emotional trailer about ‘painful’ past while showed off spinning skill

MANCHESTER UNITED winger Antony is seen fighting back tears as he talks about going through “a lot of hardship” in a trailer for an upcoming series about his life.

The Brazilian joined the Red Devils from Ajax for £85.5million 12 months ago.

The winger got emotional when talking about his hometown

Before joining Ajax in 2020, Antony, 23, started his career in Sao Paulo, his home Brazil.

Antony can be seen crying in a forthcoming two-part movie called “It All Starts With a Dream” as he remembers his childhood in what appears to be his former neighborhood.

He has previously discussed his upbringing in the notorious Inferninho neighborhood of Sao Paulo, sometimes known as “little hell,” where drug dealing and killings were commonplace.

In the 433 film presented by Puma, the Brazil international described himself as: “A boy who struggled a lot.

“A boy who went through a lot of hardship.”

Talking about his hometown, he added through tears: “I will carry this place here, for the rest of my life.”

In the brief video, he is seen visiting neighborhood children and performing his famous spin skill.

Last year, Antony made a spectacular double-spin against FC Sheriff in a Europa League match that cost him the game.

Manager Erik ten Hag hooked him in the 38th minute, right before halftime, to complete the feat.

Man United fans recently fumed “it should be Antony” as Facundo Pellistri was linked with a loan move to Sheffield United.

One wrote: “Should be Antony leaving ffs.”

While a second blasted: “Would rather loan Antony.”

A third added: “Send Antony there instead.”
