In an exchange program with Sky Sports, Kevin De Bruyne believes that Bruno Fernandes is the number one creative star in the Premier League today.

Specifically, when MC Sky Sports gave three names including Bruno Fernandes, Martin Odegaard and James Maddison to rank, De Bruyne did not hesitate to choose the Man Utd star at number one, while the Arsenal conductor was behind.

De Bruyne explained: “Fernandes is clearly a creative machine. He likes to take risks and I like that. It’s important that Fernandes has maintained this style of play for a very long time.”

With 15 goals and eight assists last campaign, Arsenal captain enjoyed the best season of his career, but he is much younger than Fernandes, something De Bruyne took into account.

He explained as much, saying: “I feel Odegaard was amazing last year, but obviously he’s younger, so there’s a difference in that.”

That didn’t stop him piling the praise on the Norwegian though, saying: “Odegaard is very creative and he’s a little more controlled.”

On Maddison, De Bruyne said he needs to “see more of him in a big team” following on from his move to Spurs from Leicester City in the summer.

Since joining Man Utd, Fernandes has played 187 matches and has 54 assists of his own. The case of Fernandes is always controversial, but it cannot be denied that the Portuguese star has always proved important in the Man Ud squad.
