The “night” was made for Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas by Lionel Messi and Novak Djokovic, who made him feel privileged to be in their company.
It was a fantastic evening for the American businessman when he met up with the two sporting legends and Mas.
Djokovic just defeated Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in a classic to win the Cincinnati Open, an ATP Masters 1000 championship. He made time to hang out with Messi, who has been playing in outstanding form for Inter Miami and led his squad to a League Cup victory, his 44th career triumph.
The two legends were joined by Mas, who posted a photo of the group with the caption: “What a night” along with two goat emojis.
As he was in the city competing in the French Open, Djokovic was present when Paris Saint-Germain won the Ligue 1 trophy back in June. He also has a close relationship with Messi. On that occasion, he seized the chance to speak with Neymar, a Brazilian international and seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.
It will be Messi’s first MLS outing when he plays on Saturday night against the New York Red Bulls.
