However, the game could not have got off to a worse start for Arsenal, as Fulham’s opening goal came courtesy of a gift from Ramsdale.

Pereira opened the scoring for the visitors inside a minute.

Ramsdale’s goalkeeping left a lot to be desired, which made the midfielder’s goal simple for him to score.

Ramsdale was unexpectedly caught out of position in an unusual event.

Pereira pounced on a stray pass to catch the Arsenal goalie from a distance.

Then Ramsdale turned left and dove right as he sprinted backwards toward his goal in an effort to rescue it.

Pereira slipped the ball past him from outside the penalty area to make it 1-0, but it was too late.

The blunder comes at a bad time for Ramsdale with more scrutiny on his job after the arrival of David Raya from Brentford.

Another added: “Why is he chilling near the edge of the box lmao”.

A third said: “Ramsdale is going to do an apology instagram post after this 😂”.

A fourth wrote: “Both Ramsdale and Onana are clueless”.

A fifth wrote: “I want to see David Raya in the next game”.
