Kieran Tierney has left Arsenal for a loan to Real Sociedad

After serving as a substitute for the majority of the previous season, Tierney, 26, was eager to play more minutes this one.

Before choosing to pursue Lewis Hall, a promising Chelsea player, Newcastle was heavily rumored to have made an offer.

And after joining Sociedad this week, Tierney is now trying to find some form in Spain, as exclusively revealed by SunSport Scotland.

Tierney will play football in the Champions League as a result of their fourth-place LaLiga performance last season.

The attacking team, led by Sociedad legend Imanol Alguacil, has internationals from Spain Mikel Merino and Mikel Oyarzabal.

Andre Silva, a Portuguese striker, was also acquired by Sociedad from RB Leipzig.

But Tierney was the one they appeared really happy to get, introducing the Scot with an exciting rocket-themed film.

The clip also combined some of Tierney’s best moments at Arsenal.

And Gunners fans appeared sad to see him go.

One said: “He is one genuinely good player. All the best Tierney.”

Another declared: “Take care of him.”

One noted: “Deserves to start regularly. Good luck warrior.”

Another added: “All the best KT, hope you have a nice time there.”

For £25 million, Tierney moved from Celtic to Arsenal in 2019.

Since then, he has played 124 times, scoring five goals, and winning the FA Cup in his debut campaign.

Tierney scored eight goals in 170 appearances for Celtic, helping the team to four championships including the 2018 Triple Crown.
