Bale Falls Outside the List of Top 20 Highest Paid MLS Players

Gareth Bale has a modest income compared to the famous players playing in the MLS (USA) season 2022.

The Major League Soccer Players’ Association (MLSPA) revealed that Gareth Bale’s annual wage is about $ 1.6 million. After leaving Real Madrid for free agency in July, the Welsh striker signed with LAFC.

Bale has only scored twice for LAFC in 12 MLS 2022 appearances. The team’s 33-year-old striker has fallen short of the standards set by management.

Lorenzo Insigne has the highest annual wage in the MLS, at a possible $14,000,000. Like Bale, who did not extend his contract with Real Madrid, Insigne joined Toronto FC without paying a transfer fee.

Including incentives, Insigne stands to earn over $77 million on his 5-and-a-half year deal with Toronto FC. The Italian striker has netted six times in as many games so far.

Xherdan Shaqiri, who wears the jersey of the Chicago Fire, is the second most paid player in Major League Soccer (MLS) with an annual salary of $7.35 million. The Swiss forward has seven goals after 29 games played.

Javier Hernandez has been LA Galaxy’s starting striker since the year 2020. The Mexican forward earns an annual salary of $6 million. Hernandez scored 38 goals in 69 games.

With a yearly salary of $5.1 million, Gonzalo Higuain is the fifth highest paid player in Major League Soccer. The Argentine forward has announced his retirement at the conclusion of the 2022 campaign.

Hector Herrera, a Mexican soccer player, signed a $4.75 million deal with the Houston Dynamo in March until 2024 with an additional year of service available. The midfielder has been with the Houston Dynamo for a while, but he has only seen action in 10 games.

Christian Benteke ($4 million), Alejandro Pozuelo ($3.8 million), Josef Martinez ($3.75 million), and Jozy Altidore ($3.7 million) are all among the MLS’s highest-paid players….
