A handful of Anthony Davis’ tattoos are interesting to look at. He believes that each tattoo on his body has a purpose and a unique backstory. The majority of his tattoos are memorials to his loved ones or other significant figures in his life. Let’s examine his tattoos to learn what they represent.
1. ‘Mаmbа’ Tаttoo
Anthony has a tattoo of a black mamba snake wrapped around a shield logo on his right thigh.
The logo is the logo of Kobe Bryant, who died recently. It looks like a sword that is hidden in a sheath. Kobe used to say that the sword was a person’s raw, undeveloped talent and that the sheath was the work a person did to develop that talent. Kobe Bryant was called the “black mamba” by his friends. Anthony got this tattoo to honour Kobe, a basketball legend.
2. Pоrtrait Tаttoo
Tattoo: On the right shoulder of the All-Star, there is a picture of an old man with the words “REST UP” and “Champ” written above and below the picture.
Anthony has a special connection to this tattoo as well. The man in the picture is Anthony’s maternal grandfather, whose name is Lamont Eberhardt. Lamont died in 2010, but Anthony looked up to him as a mentor. When you put the words together, you get the sentence “Rest Up, Champ.” This was Anthony’s way of saying hello to his coach, who he always called “Champ.” Davis said this about Lamont: “I looked up to him.” I went to his house every day, and all we did was talk about basketball. He always tried to push me. He always, always, always talked about Kobe. He always tried to get me to stand out, and I don’t want to tell you to be better, but do some of the things he did.
3. ‘Chicago’ Tаttoo
Anthony has a tattoo on his right bicep of the word “Chicago” and the year 1993, but the word is smaller and the number is bigger.
Anthony Davis was born in the city of Chicago on March 11, 1993. The tattoo shows the city where he was born and the year he was born. Davis said about the tattoo, “I got it because I love my city and where I’m from, knowing that I wouldn’t be where I am without the city of Chicago.”
4. Bаby Girl Tаttoo
Tattoo: On the inside of his left forearm, there is a large tattoo of a little girl with two roses above her head.
This tattoo is also very important to Anthony because it is a picture of his daughter, Nala Davis. Anthony got this tattoo to show his girlfriend Brittney how much he loves their daughter.
5. Initials Tаttoo
Tattoo: His initials “A D” are tattooed on the inside of his right wrist.
Most people would think that the letters stand for his name, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Anthony Davis’s name is in the initials, but the tattoo is actually a tribute to his father, Anthony Davis Sr.
6. Crоss Tаttoo
Cross: Anthony has a cross tattooed on the inside of his right forearm.
Rest is what the letters “RIP” stand for. Above the cross are the words “In Peace,” and the tattoo was done to honour a loved one.
7. ‘Stаrs, Dоves, аnd Nаme’ Tаttoos
Anthony’s right forearm is covered in tattoos of stars, and his sleeve tattoos are finished off with doves in different places. On the outside of his right forearm, from his wrist to his elbow, the letters “N, A, L, and A” are tattooed, and the “N” has a little crown on top of it.
When you put all of the letters together, you get the name of his daughter, Nala, whom he loves very much.
8. Lеg Tаttoo
Tattoo: He has another big tattoo on the right side of the bottom of his right leg. The tattoo hasn’t been seen much, and it’s hard to see because Anthony always wears leg sleeves, even in ames, to hide his legs.
