DONE DEAL: Sergio Reguilon Completes Man Utd Medical Ahead of Loan Transfer as Luke Shaw Set to Miss ’10 WEEKS’ Through Injury

Prior to replacing the injured Luke Shaw, SERGIO REGUILON has finished his medical at Manchester United.

Shaw picked up a thigh injury in the 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

Luke Shaw might be sidelined for the next 10 weeks.

According to reports, Sergio Reguilon will join to cover the England international.

In order to fill in for the injured defender, the Red Devils have subsequently been forced to use Diogo Dalot at left-back.

Several candidates have been mentioned in connection with the club as Shaw’s replacements.

Marc Cucurella of Chelsea and Reguilon of Tottenham were said to be the key targets.

Fabrizio Romano claims that a deal has been reached for Reguilon to sign a season-long loan agreement with the team.

“Here we go: Sergio Reguilón to Manchester United! With Tottenham, there is a verbal agreement in place for a loan.

“Remember that medical tests are currently being conducted!

“A clause to cancel the loan agreement will be in place in January. Deal with Marc Cucurella is OFF.

Reguilon has finished his physical at Old Trafford, according to The Athletic.

.

There may be a “break clause” in the agreement that the club can use in January, according to rumors.

The Spaniard is likely to fill in for injured players Shaw and Tyrell Malacia while he is still with the team.

Shaw could miss up to ten weeks of work due to his current condition.

Malacia, who has been sidelined since before preseason because of an injury, is still out for the time being.

26-year-old Reguilon originally signed on with Tottenham in 2020, but after falling down the ranks, he spent the previous season up loan at Atletico Madrid.

He only made 11 LaLiga appearances for the squad, therefore the move proved ineffective.

A move by United to address their left-back deficiency has already been linked to Rico Henry, a star for Brentford.
