One of the most well-liked NBA players right now, Nikola Jokic’s popularity further increased after he guided the Denver Nuggets to the 2022–23 NBA Championship. Even though the Joker isn’t exactly a seeker of attention, he is unable to stop it now because he is known to every basketball fan on the planet.

That much is clear after Jokic went rafting in Bosnia and was treated with MVP chants from several people who recognized him. The Nuggets star made sure to greet and wave at those fans cheering for him, though he seemed to be a bit shy. He was all smiles, though, as he enjoyed the moment.

Nikola Jokic deserves all the praise he’s getting, though. He was sensational throughout the whole 2022-23 season, and that consistency got him and the Nuggets awarded with an NBA title.

Jokic should have also taken home the MVP award for the regular season, which went to Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid.

However, if you were to ask Jokic what he would prefer, he would undoubtedly say that the Larry O’Brien Trophy over the Michael Jordan NBA MVP award. In any case, he already has two of the latter.

Jokic will have to adjust to the constant focus. His popularity will only grow over the coming months and years because he is currently the top player on the best NBA team. When they defend their championship in 2023–24, all eyes will be on him and Denver as well.
