Martial is ready to come to Real Sociedad with ONE condition
According to Fichajes, the French striker agreed to leave Old Trafford to put on a new shirt.
Anthony Martial joined Manchester United in 2015 for 60 million euros. He was expected to become a bright star to help Man Utd regain its position. However, the French striker has encountered many obstacles here.
The lack of stability in terms of form along with injuries caused him to gradually sink into oblivion. Now the door to leaving Old Trafford is increasingly open for Martial.
The former AS Monaco star only has a 1-year contract left at Old Trafford. With often on the bench, Martial wants to find a more suitable stop.
According to sources from Fichajes, Martial agreed to move to Real Sociedad to play in the summer of 2024 when the club announced to recruit him but on the condition that they still had to maintain their Champions League qualification.
Martial once played in La Liga when he moved to play for Sevilla on loan. Although he did not leave a special mark here, the prospect of the 27-year-old star will become a free player this season. Next summer, they see this as a bargain.
Man Utd accept big damage in Eric Bailly deal
The Besiktas homepage confirmed the successful recruitment of midfielder Eric Bailly from Manchester United.
Specifically, the Besiktas side announced, “Welcome to us, Eric Bailly.
“We have reached an agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly.
“We wish Eric Bailly, who we believe will provide important skills to the team, great success with this glorious shirt and the delight of the fans.”
Football teams in Türkiye have until September 15 to replenish their forces. Therefore, Besiktas could still sign Bailly despite the Premier League transfer window closing last week.
Currently, Bailly’s contract with Besiktas is quite mysterious. It is not clear whether the Red Devils received a fee from Besiktas, or the Old Trafford club decided to terminate the contract to let Bailly leave for free.
According to Telegraph journalist James Ducker, Man United did not charge a fee for this deal. If this is true, Man Utd lost heavily when it spent 30 million pounds on Bailly.
Bailly was one of Jose Mourinho’s first signings at Old Trafford in 2016. However, the defender could not meet the requirements due to frequent struggles with injuries.
He only appeared in 70 Premier League matches over 6 seasons. Bailly did not play a single minute for Man United in 2022. The opportunity for Bailly to play under Erik ten Hag became narrower, after Man Utd successfully recruited Lisandro Martinez.
Despite Harry Maguire’s decline, Bailly is still not given a chance. Instead, Man Utd signed a one-year contract with Jonny Evans.
