Celebrities at Lionel Messi vs. LAFC: Prince Harry & Selena Gomez Among the Guests

On Sunday night, Lionel Messi and Inter Miami trounced LAFC at BMO Stadium. The Argentine’s stellar play continues, as his team cruised to another resounding win. Inter Miami easily defeated the 2022 MLS Cup winners, 3-1, thanks in large part to his two assists.

Since Messi joined Inter Miami, a lot of famous people have come to see him play. LeBron James, Serena Williams, and Kim Kardashian were among the celebrities that saw Messi make his debut in July. Stars came out in droves to see Messi play in his debut game in Los Angeles. The list of ‘notable attendees’ given by LAFC is as bizarre as it sounds.

Spider-Man stars Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire were there, as was Leonardo DiCaprio, possibly the most famous actor in the world. Gerard Butler, Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, and Brendan Hunt, all stars of the film Ted Lasso, were among the other famous actors in attendance. Even LAFC co-owner and actor Will Ferrell showed up.

NBA All-Stars LeBron James and James Harden were in attendance, as was Heisman Trophy winner and projected first overall choice in the NFL draft, Caleb Williams.

Former Oasis vocalist Liam Gallagher, pop star Selena Gomez, rock band Rage Against the Machine, and American rapper Tyga were also in attendance. Although Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, were also in the stands at BMO Stadium.

Those who came to see Messi were not let down by his performance. He continues to rip it up for his new team, Inter Miami, with 11 goals and five assists in 11 games.

Will Ferrell reportedly commented before the game, “There’s really nothing quite like it,” as reported by Goal. As long as Messi plays for Inter Miami, A-listers will flock to the city to get a glimpse of him in action.
