Known for being a smooth operator on the pitch, Varane also pretty slick off of it. As an ambassador for BOSS Eyewear, he often wears the brand, and the slim-cut suits and sporty influences suit him. ‘I like fashion but I don’t wear anything extreme. Some people are more extravagant,’ he says (politely).

It’s a classic, quality brand.’

He won’t discuss who at United is the most fashionable, but he claims to have a good reputation among teammates. He grins and explains that French culture values style.
