Statistics from Sofascore show that Casemiro is one of Man Utd’s worst players.

Manchester United suffered their first defeat at home in 20 Premier League matches when they lost 1-3 to Brighton.

Injuries and off-field problems really make it difficult for Man Utd. However, what hurts the Red Devils the most is Casemiro’s performance.

A mainstay last season, the Brazilian player is gradually becoming a shadow of himself. Facing Roberto De Zerbi’s team, the former Real Madrid player had a poor passing rate, only 79%, and lost the ball many times.

Casemiro’s passing ability has been unusually poor this season, only breaking the 85% mark once in a loss to Arsenal.

In Brazil’s 1-0 win over Peru, Casemiro was even criticized by the domestic press. Casemiro’s success rate in duels is always high, but not this season.

Against Brighton, he only won 50% of duels, while against Tottenham Hotspur it was 44%, and against Arsenal, this number was only 33% (according to Sofascore).

Coach Erik ten Hag should try to ease the pressure on Casemiro and arrange a defensive midfielder next to this player, at least in big matches.
