When Man United plays Burnley this evening, Jadon Sancho won’t be eligible to be chosen.
Even a victory would help Manchester United, as it would stop the crows from circling.
Erik ten Hag is under increasing pressure as a result of the Old Trafford club’s three straight losses.
Being away to Burnley is never simple, especially because the Clarets have yet to record a victory this year. Turf Moor will be rocking, and you can be sure that the players will be ready to contribute an extra 10% as a result.
The coach did say that a few players might return for this match, but Jadon Sancho will not be among them.
The player ‘will not’ be included in the matchday squad for the Burnley game, according to Ten Hag, who also said that ‘it depends’ on the player to make it right.
Check out what Ten Hag had to say in full here:
Jadon Sancho won’t be in our lineup tomorrow, the coach said. Ten Hag spoke with Fabrizio Romano and other reporters. Depending on him. The remainder of the time, our attention is on getting ready for Burnley.
This makes it seem to me that Ten Hag won’t let Sancho back unless he apologizes, and given the current state of affairs, I just do not see that happening. Sancho appears dissatisfied with the way he has been treated and appears unlikely to change his opinion.
The management is ultimately in charge. Whatever Ten Hag says, whether the player agrees with it or not, will be implemented in the club in an effort to restore structure.
When you look closely at what is going on, there is certainly some culpability on both sides, but this is just how high-level athletics is.
