All indications point to Mason Mount returning to first-team play ahead of two games against Crystal Palace this week, giving Erik ten Hag a rare injury-related win.
Mason Mount, a summer acquisition by Manchester United, practiced with the club in preparation for Tuesday’s match against Crystal Palace and now seems to be close to making his comeback to the first team.

As he was run alongside the other members of his United team, Mount appeared to be in good spirits and was grinning. Ten Hag has had to cope with a number of Red Devils players being out recently in addition to the former Blues favorite.

Harry Maguire, a fellow England international, has missed the last two games due to an injury he has been dealing with. When it comes to injuries, United’s defense has been the most severely affected, with all four of Ten Hag’s starting back four missing time this season.
Raphael Varane’s injury that prevented him from playing against Arsenal and Brighton has since healed, while Lisandro Martinez is the most recent player to experience a problem. During the final few minutes of Saturday’s game at Turf Moor, the Frenchman was introduced.
Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are still sidelined. Sergio Reguilon, who serves as Ten Hag’s emergency backup, recently fought a virus as well, but happily for Ten Hag, the Spaniard recovered in time to play against Burnley and is expected to be well for Crystal Palace’s visit.
Despite the fact that United will undoubtedly be attempting to defend the League Cup this year, Ten Hag may make changes on Tuesday night. The Red Devils need to focus on other, more pressing issues, therefore that is why.
