At the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Italian shipyard Cantiere del Pardo showed off plans for a brand new VanDutch flagship, the VanDutch 75.
In 2024, the world will be introduced to the 22-and-a-half-meter version at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Since the shipyard bought the brand in 2020, this is one of the first new ships to join the fleet.
Cantiere del Pardo asked Burdisso & Capponi Yachts&Design to come up with a concept that would update the classic VanDutch aesthetic (think high freeboard and sculptural tinted windscreen) into “a more contemporary and Mediterranean key.” The new design is meant to launch a series of similar open boats.
Under the retractable canopy, guests can enjoy the dinette, two sofas, and two convertible tables. The ribbed cushions carry forward a styling cue seen throughout the cabin and are reminiscent of those found in sports cars.
Owners of the VanDutch 75 can choose between two different cabin configurations. The standard layout features a spacious dinette and open kitchen, a forward VIP stateroom, aft staterooms for the owner and a guest, and a twin stateroom; the alternative layout swaps out the guest stateroom for a more spacious master suite complete with a desk, sofa, and walk-in closet.
To cater to two different demographics, the designers created a “cool” version with pearly briarwoods and a “smooth” version with burnished mahogany, Nero Ardesia wood, copper tones, and matte finishes. To add personality to otherwise windowless rooms, a “luminous porthole” was conceived.
With its three IPS engines, this boat can reach speeds of up to 40 knots and can hold up to four thousand gallons of fuel. With its retractable swim platform and tender garage with launch and recovery system, you can easily access the water whenever you like.
The shipyard also took the opportunity to unveil a new version of its Pardo 75 T-Top model, making it one of its first presentations since being acquired by Calzedonia Group last month.
