Following a charity auction in Dubai, the official Twitter account for Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives announced, “The Most Noble Number has raised AED 97.920 m lln that will fund the #1B llnMeals endowment.” Most expensive license plate ever sold at auction for AED 55 million.

The bidding for the license plate P7 began at 15 million dirhams on Saturday night and escalated to over 30 million.

There was a brief break in bidding after billionaire Pavel Valerievich Durov, founder and owner of the Telegram app, put the highest price of 35 million dirhams. The bid rapidly returned to its previous level of 55 billion dirhams.

There were literally thousands of VIP license plates and phone numbers available for bid at this occasion.
