Cooper Kupp may be taking the year off from football, but he’s still very much involved in the housing market.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver recently put his four-acre Oregon property up for sale while he is out with a hamstring injury. The Wilsonville home was listed for $3.5 million in 2020, and Kupp purchased it sight unseen for a cool $2.5 million. There is a main house with five bedrooms and a nearly 2,000 square foot guest house on the property, which is located 30 minutes outside of Portland. Kupp transformed a barn into a workout space, and he turned his four-car garage into a gym—all while the world was gripped by a pandemic.
“A lot of sweat and tears were shed on that. The Super Bowl LVI most valuable player said to the press, “It was actually fairly wonderful. The turf-lined field, retractable basketball hoops at both ends, lights, speakers, and two enormous bay doors are just some of the features of the 4,600 square foot indoor sports facility.
Kupp elaborated to Forbes, “I did most of my off-season prep there in lead-up to our Super Bowl season.” We took great care in furnishing the barn to make it an ideal venue for performances, and I believe our efforts have paid off. I’m going to miss getting to the barn bright and early every day.
The massive brick main house measures in at 5,700 square feet, and it was built in the Gothic Revival style. Hardwood floors, natural stone details, massive windows, and intricate woodwork can be found all over the place. The home’s highlights include a formal dining room with coffered ceilings and chandeliers, a family room bar with a wine cooler, and a snug paneled office with a fireplace. The adjacent kitchen features a sizable central island, as well as Miele and Subzero equipment.
The master suite is on the ground level, with its own entrance vestibule, patio, and bathroom. Four more bedrooms may be found on the second floor.
Kupp, a native Washingtonian, explained that he and his wife are selling because they no longer have the leisure to take their three children on vacations to Oregon. We don’t know where the Rams receiver will be spending the offseason just yet, but we have a feeling it won’t be anywhere exotic.
