Zendaya Surprises Her Father with a Dream House in California, Fulfilling Every Parent’s Envisioned Wish!

It’s no secret that Zendaya gets along well with her parents. The well-known actress (Euphoria, Dune, the Spider-Man movies) lived with her mother Claire Stoermer or her divorced father, Oakland native Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, even though she owned multiple homes; the two are still close “homies,” according to Zendaya.

The 26-year-old, who paid $1.9 million for a home her father would occupy, is reportedly joining A-list celebs The Rock, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Beyoncé in buying homes for their parents. The opulent mansion is tucked away in the remote Los Angeles suburbs of West Hills, the San Fernando Valley, near Woodland Hills and Calabasas.

Built in the 1990s, the two-story house was previously sold for $1.1 million in 2008, at which point improvements were done. The house’s main level features a double-height lobby with walls painted a light periwinkle color, as well as new hardwood floors.

The living and family rooms each have a fireplace, and the formal dining room has French doors that open directly to the pool area. The fully renovated kitchen stands out with its dark brown cabinets and white quartz surfaces. It features eat-in bar seating and is connected to the family space.

Five bedrooms are spread throughout the approximately 3,400 square foot building, with two located on the ground floor and three upstairs. The master retreat upstairs has a dedicated sitting area, a lavishly renovated bathroom, and a private terrace overlooking the city lights and mountains. I’ve converted one of the downstairs rooms into an office.

A raised spa adjacent to the house’s pool, lush front and backyard landscaping, and a built-in barbecue center with a bar seating area are some of the other outside features. There’s a circular fire pit, ideal for cooking marshmallows on chilly nights, and a covered loggia that provides some outdoor respite from the unbearable heat of the San Fernando Valley. Nestled within a premium home development, the property’s HOA dues of $205 per month contribute to the maintenance of communal areas that resemble parks and a neighborhood security patrol.

Zendaya maintains a variety of residences in addition to her dad’s luxurious new digs, including a New York City apartment and the first property she ever acquired, a Mediterranean-style home in L.A.’s Northridge district. Nonetheless, the $4 million dollar hilltop mansion in Encino remains the priciest object in her collection.
