Though smaller than the Isle of Man, Grenada has a strong hotel industry. The bulk of popular accommodations are around Grand Anse, although you may discover luxury villas and romantic getaways. Hotels vary in price, but you’ll be among greenery and the spices that made this island so desirable to colonial powers.
Obviously, beach life is important to the holiday experience here. Grand Anse is the cleanest beach, although Magazine Beach, in the airport shadow, is also popular. On the south coast, you’ll discover smaller sandy beaches, stunning bays, and hotels on peninsulas. Here are Grenada’s top hotels.
The Point, Petite Calivigny, St. George
The Point at Petite Calivigny’s villas and hotel rooms are more homey than Grenada’s larger resorts. We have restaurants and a culinary center where visiting chefs teach local talent. The new gym, pool, spa, morning yoga lessons, and private marina are elsewhere.
Grand Anse Radisson Grenada Beach Resort
Radisson may not seem like a logical choice for a customized Caribbean experience, but decades of experience (and billions of money) translate into competence and comfort at this Grand Anse beach property. The wedding party-friendly hotel offers snorkeling, scuba-diving, and kayaking. There’s not much to do nearby because there are four restaurants on the resort, but a stroll along the beach to Quarantine Point is beautiful at sunset.
St. George’s Sandals
Being between the international airport and Pink Gin beach may sound like a nightmare vacation. Sandals has made the most of this area, including 10 restaurants and six bars within their all-inclusive resort. Billiards, table tennis, big outdoor chess, shuffleboard, and tennis are available, along with water activities.
St George’s Maca Bana
Maca Bana may not seem perfect, yet it is on the island’s furthest southwest within touching distance of the international airport. In Grenada, Magazine beach is one of the most gorgeous sandy beaches and rarely crowded. The resort has exquisite villas with natural colors and style, including on their balconies. Both eateries are returned from the golden sands.
Lance aux Épines Cottages, St. George
Lance aux Épines, a picturesque peninsula and Prickly Bay off Grenada’s south coast, has lured tourists for decades. For those seeking isolation and self-catering, its 11 cottages are exceptionally affordable for the island. The neighboring marina features a restaurant for dining out. The cottages don’t have pools, but Lance aux Épines beach’s quiet waters are pleasant and safe.
