The Underwater Entertainment Platform, or UWEP, is what U-Boat Worx calls its newest boat, but we just call it the “party sub.”
The unique submarine is the first of its kind. Its length from bow to stern is 115 feet, and it can go about 650 feet below the water’s surface. This Dutch company builds private and business submersibles, and they say that the ship was made to hold the “world’s most prestigious and memorable events.” It can be equipped with a range of amenities to make it suitable for a range of deep-sea gatherings.
The inside is more than 1,600 square feet and can fit 120 passengers and workers. The owner (or operator) can set up the multipurpose area to be, say, a restaurant with 64 seats, an underwater gym, or an underwater casino. Of course, nice bathrooms and a large galley are normal.
The party sub could also be used for weddings, art shows, speeches, and other similar events. Imagine a small vacation ship that can take you and your group somewhere underwater. Also, there is no need for decompression after your diving trip because the cabin is fully pressurized.
There are 14 big windows on the UWEP that give a great view of the deep ocean and all the sea life that lives there. Additionally, it comes with a set of exterior lights that brighten the area and add some style to dives at night.
Also, the party must never end. The UWEP runs on batteries and is fully self-sufficient; it can work nonstop for 24 hours. Between trips, the submarine can be refueled and stocked in a port or mobile dock.
In a statement, Bert Houtman, founder and CEO of U-Boat Worx, said, “The UWEP will shake up the submarine and hospitality industries and set the standard for in-depth events.” “Not only will we give the pickiest customers an amazing experience, but we will also give entrepreneurs a chance to make money and help us learn more about the oceans.”
The best thing about it is that U-Boat Worx is looking at possible partners and places right now. Get ready for the party.
