The three-year battle to sell the house with five agents came to an end with the enormous deal. The person who closed the deal, Benjamin Hillman of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, remarked, “I was lucky No. 5.” I assured Shaq that I would get a buyer for him.

The 31,000-square-foot Shaq mansion is located in Isleworth, a gated golf community south of Orlando, with a view of Lake Butler. Among the features are a 6,000-square-foot basketball court with a Miami Heat motif, a 17-car showroom, a cigar room, a wine cellar, a custom theater, a safe room, a recording studio, an aquarium featuring hieroglyphics, and a 95-foot-long “Shaq-apulco” pool.
