Boxer Floyd Mayweather is the wealthiest athlete in the world right now. Mayweather made news again in 2017 when he dropped $4.8 million on a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita supercar and then sold his Ferrari Enzo supercar for a tidy profit.
Only about 500 of Bugatti’s latest Chiron supercar were ever made, and they retailed for up to 2.4 million Euros (about $2.61 million at the time). Only about 200 people have placed orders for this “super product” thus far. Boxer Floyd Mayweather already owns a Veyron supercar, but he reportedly bought two more because one just wasn’t enough.
Mayweather’s unusual interest in collecting classic automobiles has become more mainstream. The likes of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bugattis, Rolls-Royces, and more can be found in his garage.
Mayweather just dropped around $6.25 million on a pair of supercars. Before Mayweather got his hands on the supercar Bugatti Chiron, he added these two to his collection. It’s no surprise that a boxer with an estimated net worth of $650 million can afford to lavish millions of dollars on his passion projects.
