Chance the Rapper now has a new inn. The Grammy winner paid $2.3 million for a house in a neighborhood of Chicago, according to the Chicago Tribune.

His real name is Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, and his wife’s name is Kirsten. They were renting in the area. The couple must have loved the Bannockburn area so much that they chose to buy a house there.

The couple spent a lot of money on a house in the French country style that came on the market in 2012 for $3.2 million.

The home’s price had been lowered several times in 2016, taking it down to $2,775,000. Because of a new pricing plan in 2017, the price briefly went up to $2,899,999. The price was lowered to $2,775,000 at the end of 2017 and to $2,595,000 in 2018. There was still no buyer.

The house was put back on the market in August for $2,599,900, but Chance bought it a month later for an even lower price. The Tribune says that it was bought through an LLC.

The private hideaway is on 3.7 acres of land in the wealthy neighborhood of Bannockburn Brae, which is about 30 miles from Chicago.

There are five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms in the 925-square-foot living area.

The living and eating rooms are connected by a grand foyer. There are many stoves, high ceilings, and hardwood floors. There are built-ins, an Iowa barn beam ceiling, and two sets of French doors that lead to the patio and pool outside in the great room.

In the French country style, the kitchen has a big island in the middle, handmade cabinets, and granite countertops. A Sub-Zero refrigerator, two Miele dishwashers, a Thermador range, and two Thermador ovens make up an amazing set of high-end appliances. The bright breakfast room next door looks out over the private yard.

On the first floor, there is a music room, a library, and a private office. There is a separate door to the studio. The singer and songwriter might be able to use this area as a recording studio.

The bedrooms are on the second floor, with the master suite having a living area, fireplace, and spa bathtub.

On the lower floor, there are many places to have fun. There is a bar, a fireplace, an exercise center, a movie theater, and a game room in the recreation area.

The house has a courtyard, a pool, natural greenery, and a garage that can fit four cars.
