Superyacht designers will create the interiors of multi-million dollar floating residences on Abu Dhabi’s $3.5 billion man-made island.

Mohamed Alabbar, the founder of Emaar, is introducing Ramhan Island, an impressive $3.5 billion complex, in Abu Dhabi. We were intrigued to learn that the tycoon had brought in some of the most well-known superyacht designers to bring these eye-catching residences’ interiors to life. We couldn’t help but agree with the businessman’s justification: “Superyacht designers are the best at internal home detailing, but there are a lot of great designers in the world.” Their minds are conditioned to constantly consider luxury, but above all, they have a reverence for light, space, and the worth of every square meter. They exclusively construct the world’s most opulent structures. Thus, their detailing is unlike anything that has ever been seen in a typical home or business. Nothing like this will ever be witnessed in the UAE or the surrounding area.

Up to 1,800 beach villas (each with one of eight possible layouts, from 2862 square feet to 7539 square feet), 1,000 branded houses, a hotel, and a marina are all reportedly part of this amazing development.

Great yacht designers such as Philippe Starck, Pascale Reymond (Serene megayacht), Espen Oeino (Kismet Yacht), Aileen Rodriguez (Solandge superyacht), and others would be amazing to behold in a non-ship setting.

Living on a beached island where everything is genuinely natural—including birds, dolphins, and turtles—is a unique experience, Alabbar told Arabian Business. We will be providing a quality of life that has never been experienced before. Over the years, I have had the good fortune to work on several really interesting projects, but this is something quite exceptional.

The tiniest villas, built by Alabbar’s Eagle Hills construction company, are offered for about $2 million.
