Marvel at Drake’s $88m Entertainment Villa – Paradise on Earth

Drake's progress: the making of a modern superstar | Drake | The Guardian

It happened really fast. Drake spent a lot of money on a magnificent estate in the mountains above Beverly Hills, but he hasn’t even completed remodeling it. The resort-style paradise owned by the rapper of “Hold On, We’re Going Home” is presently up for sale, asking $88 million. TMZ was the first to report on the house listing.

The roughly 25,000 square foot home, which was constructed over several years beginning in the late 1990s, was created for GUESS co-founder Armand Marciano by the renowned architects at KAA Design Group. English music artist Robbie Williams, who purchased the Tuscan-style home in 2015 for $33 mιllιon, restored the furnishings and replaced the Old World-inspired, Mediterranean-themed ones with more modern ones.

Drake purchased the enormous complex from Williams and his wife Ayda Field last spring for an astounding $75 mιllιon. It’s unclear what alterations the rapper has done since then, but a glitzy real estate listing website reveals the mansion still looks largely the same as it did when Williams owned it and Field routinely posted pictures of it on Instagram.

The property is accessed by gates and a very long driveway and is located at the end of a little-known cul-de-sac in a rural area high in the hills above Benedict Canyon. Beautiful views of the city, the canyon, and the shore are framed by scores of old oaks and established olive trees. A sizable motorcourt and an 11-car garage on the property both have plenty of space for additional parking.

Recently prepared neutral spaces err on the side of relaxing minimalism in terms of decor. The house boasts an elevator, a wine cellar, a gym, a double-height lobby with a grand staircase, a living room with two enormous fireplaces, a kitchen with two islands, and an upstairs master retreat with a salon-style bathroom bigger than several houses. Of course, there’s a separate guesthouse and a staff wing.

Everything, from the several marble finishes to the distinctive woodwork, is clearly bespoke and most likely cost a fortune to install. The advertisement claims that the house boasts one of the biggest grass fields in the 90210, a full-size tennis court, an outdoor kitchen, and a “hidden” orchard, but the enormous grounds and vistas are what really make the property stand out. Situated on a nearly 20-acre tract of land, the majority of the compound is a rugged hillside.
