Coach Luis Enrique launched his strongest squad with Mbappe, Goncalo Ramos and Lee Kang In in attack when welcoming Strasbourg at home at Parc des Princes in round 9 of Ligue 1.

With the pass for Soler to score, Mbappe had his first assist this season. Meanwhile, the opening goal against Strasbourg helped him score the 8th goal in Ligue 1 and the 9th in all competitions if including the goal against Dortmund in the Champions League group stage. The score 2-0 remained until the end of the first half.

Carlos Soler helped PSG take a 2-0 lead in the 31st minute of the match.

Entering the second half, Strasbourg tried to push the team higher in search of a goal to shorten the score, but then they had to pay the price with the home team’s quick counterattack in the 77th minute.

Midfielder Fabian Ruiz skillfully bypassed two opposing defenders in the penalty area before delicately scoring a 3-0 victory for the home team.

This victory is not enough to help PSG regain the top spot in Ligue 1 as they are still one point behind Nice at the top. Even if Monaco wins the match taking place today (October 22), PSG will drop to 3rd place on the rankings.
