Ford’s newest pickup truck, the Ranger Wildtrak X 2023, has been introduced. This upgraded Wildtrak is positioned below the high-performance Raptor trim, and it will provide sporty driving and off-road capabilities.
The black grille cluster and larger honeycomb mesh on the Ranger Wildtrak X 2023 give it a striking and rugged appearance. The Matrix LED headlamp cluster is complemented by a “C” shaped daytime running LED strip on this vehicle. It rides on General Grabber AT3 265/70 R17 off-road tires mounted on custom-designed 6-spoke dual-spoke wheels measuring 17 inches in diameter.
The Ford Ranger Wildtrak X has a foldable roof rack and a sports bar that moves up and down in the cargo area, in addition to its rugged exterior appearance. Additionally, a Cyber Orange paint job is included as a special bonus.
The interior of the Ranger Wildtrak X is equipped with a high-quality B&O sound system, a 12-inch vertical central touchscreen, and a 12.4-inch digital dashboard. Orange highlights and embroideries adorn the suede and leather seat upholstery. The rear of the seat, the escalator buttons, and the front of the taplo feature the Wildtrak X logo.
A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine producing 201 hp and 500 Nm of torque is housed within the Ranger Wildtrak X and mated to a 10-speed automated transmission. It’s also the first Ford Ranger to pass the more stringent Euro 6 requirements for vehicle emissions. Unlike the Wildtrak model, which only has part-time 4-wheel drive, this one has all-wheel drive all the time.
Off-road, the Ford Ranger Wildtrak X benefits from a new Bilstein Position-Sensitive Dampers suspension system using End Stop Control Valve (ESCV) technology. In addition, its ground clearance is 26 centimeters higher than that of the Wildtrak model.
Similar features to those found in the Ranger Raptor series can be found on the Ranger Wildtrak X, such as the Trail Turn Assist system, Trail Control, and the rock crawl driving mode. Off-road, the car can keep up to 32 kilometers per hour thanks to Trail Control’s cruise control functionality, while Rock Crawl improves traction in extreme conditions when 4WD is used at low speeds.
The Ford Ranger Wildtrak X 2023 will go on sale in the second half of this year in Australia, with prices beginning at 75,990 AUD (about $56,500). The Ranger Wildtrak X, with its high-tech features and off-road capabilities, is certain to become a favorite among pickup truck fans and adventurers.
