Interior design minimalistism is Kylie Jenner’s preference. Meridith Baer, the owner of Meridith Baer Home and an A-list home stager, recently spoke with PEOPLE about staging Jenner’s 9,680-square-foot Beverly Hills property, which she and Travis Scott purchased in 2018 for $13.5 million. They advertised it again for $21.9 мιℓℓιо𝚗 in October. According to Baer, we were inspired to honor Kylie’s passion for blush and the naughty colors she uses in her skincare line. “Overall, the style is what we would call organic modern. A large portion of the furniture is simple, calm, and organic. We also feature a large selection of unique ceramic pieces and daring, edgy artworks.
Baer has worked on “a number of homes in the past for different members of Kylie’s family,” including big sister Kim Kardashian, but she says Jenner gave her the most freedom. It’s interesting that they didn’t provide us any guidance. We could tell from her own taste. She goes on to say that since it was influenced by the colors and fashions she loves, it was almost like an ode to her. The seven-bedroom, ten-bathroom home is decorated with “minimal, soothing and elegant” themes, according to Baer.
Despite her own beauty, she adores the sensation and appearance of simplicity. The woman adds, “It was important to us that the house not look staged.” What sets us apart is our ability to style a property to look lived in rather than staged. Baer had prepared the house for the previous owners before Jenner and Scott purchased it. “We had been asked to make it very glam,” she recalls being asked at the time. And [Kylie] bought it before instinctively giving it a wonderfully cozy, enticing, and fascinating look.
In addition to natural accents, the rooms have opulent details like black coffee tables and dark draperies. I love the real black walls in the living room. Just very pensive,” Baer remarks. I actually enjoy the vibe of the house, and each room is unique. She goes on, “I could even see myself living in this home.” It is just delicious, calm, and welcoming without being showy.
