Pharrell Williams’ Extravagance: A Mansion Boasting a Koi Pond, Waterfall, Cave-Style Swimming Pool, and Tennis Court

Is this the hideout of a supervillain? An architectural program at a state university? Pharrell Williams’ ultra-modern Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood mansion was sold for $14 million.

The Grammy-winning musician lost money after paying $15.6 million for the stunning property two years ago from Tyler Perry. He put it on the market for $16.95 million in the spring.

The spectacular mansion is on four gated acres on a knoll above Mulholland Drive and offers a striking escape from the city below. The grounds include a succession of koi ponds, waterfalls, and lawns, as well as a grotto-style swimming pool and tennis court at the border of the property.

The 10 bedroom, 11 bathroom mansion is located at the end of a 200-foot driveway. The central atrium features indoor fountains and gallery-white walls, and is bisected by a sculptural staircase.

There is a handcrafted crystal chandelier in the formal dining room and warm lighting in the chef’s kitchen. There’s a pool table and a wet bar in the airy parlor with windows.

In addition to a spa bathtub and architectural office, the master bedroom boasts wood components and a spectacular fireplace. Views of the city and canyon have been carefully planned and manicured outside.

Pharrell Williams is a multi-talented artist who sings, raps, produces music, and designs clothing. In the late ’90s, he formed the hip-hop production team the Neptunes and the band N.E.R.D. He has been nominated for two Oscars and won thirteen Grammys because to his work on the smash single “Happy” and the film “Hidden Figures.”

In the summer, he put his glass-walled Hollywood Hills compound, the Skyline Residence, on the market for $11.95 million.
