Chants of Lionel Messi’s name were aimed at Cristiano Ronaldo during the encounter between Al Nassr and Al Ettifaq in the round of 16 of the Saudi King Cup.
Ronaldo was taunted by Al Ettifaq fans by chanting “Messi, Messi, Messi” in the stands. CR7 is not difficult to recognize and immediately take action to respond. The Portuguese superstar put his finger to his lips and signaled the crowd to be quiet.

And then when Mane scored the winning goal for Al Nassr in the 107th minute, Ronaldo did not miss the opportunity to anger Al Ettifaq fans. The 38-year-old player pointed at his ear and directed his eyes toward the stands of the away team’s fans to provoke.
Also during the match, Ronaldo also expressed dissatisfaction with the referee. The two Saudi Pro League sides faced off in a dramatic encounter that saw tensions flare up during stoppage time in the first half.
Al-Nassr star Talisca hit the back of the net but his effort was chalked off after a VAR review that considered Ronaldo was offside and interfered with play.
That decision angered the five-time Ballon d’Or winner so much that he demanded the replacement of the official match as he signaled for a substitution while pointing at the ref.

Fans were left stunned by the Manchester United legend’s shocking reaction as they took to social media.
One supporter tweeted: “He owns the league.”
Another posted: “His league.”
A third wrote: “This is unbelievable.”
This fan said: “My goat is always right.”
And that one stated: “GOAT.”

Anderson Talisca scored a goal at the end of the first half, but VAR decided that Ronaldo was offside. The referee immediately red carded Talisca for a dubious collision situation, sending him off the field.
But Steven Gerrard, the manager of Al-Ettifaq, also lost one of his own players when Ali Hazazi received a red card in the 89th minute.
Nevertheless, Sadio Mane’s winner three minutes before extra time ended meant that Al-Nassr was the ones who won in the end.
Messi recently took home the 2023 Golden Ball, bringing his total of these honors to eight. For the first time since 2003, Ronaldo did not receive a single nomination among the thirty contenders on the shortlist.
Although he did not speak up about the 2023 Golden Ball voting results, Ronaldo had a controversial reaction. The Portuguese superstar clicked “like” and commented with four “laughing until tears” emojis for a post in which journalist Tomas Roncero of AS newspaper (Spain) criticized Messi’s victory.
Journalist Tomas Roncero wrote: “Hello everyone, what we knew has happened. They awarded another Golden Ball to Messi. He is aging at Inter Miami, but he looks like he is aging at PSG to prepare for the 2022 World Cup. He won the 2022 World Cup but with 6 penalties.
The 2022 World Cup also took place 10 months ago. Messi has won 8 Golden Balls, but he only deserves 5. He took away the Golden Ball from Iniesta, Xavi, who won 6 titles in one season Lewandowski and this year is the top scorer of all tournaments Haaland.
