HUMBLE BILLIONAIRE: Inside Google co-founder Serge Brin $13.5M’s Malibu mansion

A $13.5 million Malibu property was purchased by Google co-founder Sergey Brin and his ex-wife Nicole Shanahan one year prior to their divorce.

Six months later, on September 17, 2020, the transaction was completed. The court filings indicate that on December 15, 2021, the two people broke up.

Brin formally filed the required paperwork to start the divorce process a few weeks later in January of this year, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Up until now, the buyer’s name had been closely concealed. However, Dirt said that the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom property had been bought through a secret limited liability company run by a San Francisco lawyer who is well-known for keeping a very small clientele.

The musician Pink was the previous owner of the home until 2010. Up until 2016, when she sold it for $11.9 million to a French investment banker, it served as her primary residence. Antoine Pigasse purchased it.

Because he lives in Point Dume, Brin has joined a long list of other tech titans who have made their names in the 90265 ZIP code.

Several well-known individuals have purchased homes in the area, including Jan Koum, Laurene Powell Jobs, and Marc Andreessen, the co-founder of WhatsApp.

There is currently no information regarding who will keep title of the approximately 6,300 square foot building during the couple’s ongoing divorce process. The Post has reached out to you for feedback.

The assets that Brin and Shanahan jointly own, as well as the terms of their distribution, are not specified in the divorce suit. Rather, they claim that some do exist and that it is “to be determined” what those are.

“All issues as to the property rights or obligations of the parties will be determined by confidential binding arbitration in accordance with a written agreement between the parties,” state documents submitted to the Santa Clara County court.

“This is Riviera living at its best” was the description found in the listing that was issued in 2005.

The house features an indoor-outdoor Asian-style layout and exudes island vibes from features like tropical greenery and a Balinese-style pool cabana. There is a trail that runs to the beach at Zumeriez and is accessible through the back gate.

A fitness center, a raised spa, a vegetable garden, a chef’s kitchen with two islands, an open study with a wood-burning fireplace, and a raised spa are all included.
