HARRY MAGUIRE was left baffled as Manchester United saw a goal get disallowed against Fulham.
The Red Devils edged the Cottagers 1-0 yesterday after a last-gasp Bruno Fernandes strike sealed a much-needed win.
Harry Maguire raged as John Brooks checked the VAR monitor
.
Maguire shouted he was ‘not involved’ in the play
But United thought they had the lead in the first-half when Scott McTominay tapped home from close range.
The goal was given by the linesman but a lengthy VAR check resulted in it being chalked off.
Maguire was deemed to have been involved after attempting to kick the ball even though he was offside during the build-up.
After reviewing the ruling and being summoned to the pitchside monitor, referee John Brooks concluded that the center back was interfering with play.
While the official was looking at the screen, Maguire protested his innocence.
He was videoed by a Fulham fan as he shouted: “I wasn’t even involved ref.
“Hey, I wasn’t even involved, fu hеll.”
Fans fumed at the disallowing of the goal, one said: “There is a clear agenda against Man Utd.”
Another added: “The refs are a disgrace.”
Others praised Maguire for showing his passion, as a supporter commented: “Give him the captain’s armband.”
A fourth wrote: “Maguire is a whole vibe.”
The decision was VAR’s first controversial moment of the day after they later allowed Newcastle’s winner against Arsenal amid much debate over whether the ball went out or if there was a foul in the build-up.
