Drake’s Fans Left Disappointed as J. Cole Takes Center Stage in ‘First Person Shooter

The collaborative single “First Person Shooter,” featuring J. Cole and Drake, has sparked debate over their relative contributions to the song. When asked his opinion, fellow Dreamville rapper JID replied that in his opinion J. Cole did a better job. He added that they are Drake fans but prefer Cole. JID also brought up another project with Yeat and Drake, although his feelings on that were unclear.

For the number one place on the Billboard Hot 100, “First Person Shooter” is in hot competition. If it tops the charts, it will be J. Cole’s first No. 1. Drake has a handful of top ten songs, and another song he recorded with Yeat has a shot at the top spot.

Drake is almost certain to surpass Michael Jackson as the male solo artist with the most number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. Ice Cube congratulated J. Cole on Twitter for mentioning his BIG3 basketball league in his song.

This year, Drake and J. Cole have been very close, even sharing the stage on Drizzy’s tour. After Drake begged to be featured on J. Cole’s upcoming album on stage in Montreal, it’s possible they’ll work together again in the future.
