Rick Ross, an artist, rap magnate, and self-styled “Boss,” is reportedly on a spending spree, as evidenced by a number of his own recordings. The rapper claims he has spent $100 million in the previous six months alone. Ross discussed his business endeavors and his willingness to make significant expenditures when necessary in an interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio.
A fascinating aspect of the talk is Ross’s self-description as “frugal” while discussing his spending plans for 2023. Ross said the Apple Music host, “I been cooking on the stove for a long time, and really I was getting money the whole time,” meaning that he is continually working whether or not his fans know it. At other times, he said, “I’m a real frugal n****, but when it’s time to make a power play, I will.” My spending limit is $100,000,000. I spent that in the last six months,” Ross proclaimed.
Ross did not explain in detail the power moves that ultimately cost him so much, but it seems that not all of the money is being invested in company. The number one artist has dropped $35 million on a home on Miami Beach’s Star Island. The gifted hip-hop singer also let his fans know that he may have dropped $35 million on a private jet. He says the other $100 million is already invested.
Ross appeared to close that chapter of the argument by declaring categorically that his statements were the truth and not just boasting. “We’re nоt just talking abоut it,” Rоss commented, “we’re actually spending time оn it.”
In a subsequent video, Ross differentiated between investing $100 million in real estate or commercial enterprises and frivolously spending the money. In either case, cash is disappearing, but the reasons why are different. The rapper didn’t hold back as he speculated facetiously, suggesting that perhaps the $100 million was split between investments and wasteful spending.
