HUMBLE BILLIONAIRE LIFESTYLE: Lionel Messi Embarks on a Luxurious Family Getaway Aboard a Lavish Yacht

On June 24, Messi’s birthday, Lionel Messi and his best buddy and former teammate at Barcelona FC brought their spouses and families on an opulent holiday to Ibiza, Spain. Three children of Messi and Antonela Roccuzzo are Mateo, nine, Thiago, six, and Ciro, four. Fabregas brought Lia, Capri, and Leonardo, his three children, together with his wife Daniella Semaan.

According to The Daily Mail, the two soccer players purchased a $318,000 (€303,000) per week mansion on the Spanish island that has six bedrooms, a gym, and a 65-foot (20-meter) swimming pool with 22 staff members. They are reportedly unwinding before the start of a new season.

Nothing compares to being on the water, so the two set off to sail. According to the same source, Lionel Messi’s wife Antonela Roccuzzo shared pictures of the two chartering Shaliman II.

The 90-foot open yacht Shaliman II has a low draft of 5’5′′ (1.65 m) and a beam of 20’5′′ (6.23 m). It was constructed in 2009 at the Italian shipyard Pershing, using a GRP superstructure and hull. Its twin MTU engines allow it to reach top speeds of 44 knots (51 mph / 81 kph) and cruise at 38 knots (44 mph / 70 kph), according to Yacht Charter Fleet.

The yacht underwent a refurbishment in 2018 to accommodate eight people in four suites, including a VIP cabin, a master suite, and two twin cabins. Four crew members are available on the yacht to attend to all your needs for $62,500 (€59,000) a week, plus expenses.

The two couples also took vacation stays at Lionel Messi’s Mim Hotel.
