On a classic river cruise along the famous German rivers Rhine and Moselle, you’ll see old cities and half-timbered towns, hillsides covered with terraced vineyards, and castles on top of the hills. It’s always nice to wake up to a new view, but it’s even better when that view is a beautiful river port and the day ahead is full of interesting places to visit.
There are three tours included so that you can see the best of what the area has to offer: Reichsburg Castle with its fancy furniture; Bernkastel-Kues with its one-of-a-kind half-timbered buildings; and Koblenz, where the two big rivers meet at “German Corner.”
We sail on the A-ROSA FLORA, a large and well-equipped riverboat that can hold up to 180 people. On board, we’ll enjoy high-class meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as tea, coffee, snacks, and drinks all day long. There is a big window outside of each house, and each one has a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with a shower and toilet, and air conditioning.
There are bathrobes, toiletries, and mineral water in each cabin, and Spa services are 15% cheaper. For an extra fee, you can move up to rooms on the upper deck with Juliet balconies. On the sun deck, there are lots of sun loungers, a heated whirlpool, a putting green, shuffleboard, and a big chessboard where you can enjoy the fall sun.
