Discover The Weeknd’s $70 million Bel Air mansion is everyone’s dream home

The Weeknd, whose stage name is Abel Tesfaye, bought a house in Bel Air. It was one of the most expensive deals to happen in Los Angeles this year. The living space in the house is over 33,000 square feet, which is pretty big. The house has a gym, theater, music studio, sauna, hammam, and indoor pool on the inside. The outside has a sports court, an infinity pool with a waterfall, and a dramatic split staircase that leads from the patio on top to the yard.

These buildings are on a 1.6-acre plot of land that looks out over the Bel Air Country Club. Just a few months ago, Madonna bought the singer of “Blinding Lights”‘s old house.

The previous owners of The Weeknd’s new ultra-luxurious home, Dutch media mogul Reinout Oerlemans and his wife, competitive cyclist Danielle Oerlemans, weren’t even planning to sell the home before Rayni and Branden Williams of the Beverly Hills Estates asked to show it to Tesfaye. In the end, the Williams team worked with the Oerlemans, and Angel Salvador, another Beverly Hills Estates agent, helped Tesfaye.

The Oerlemans bought the house in 2015 for $21.4 million. In the three years that followed, they added 13,000 square feet of room and many of the finer things on this list. They also gave the house a modern look, which was a big improvement from how it looked in the early 2000s. The house has a lot of unique features, like kitchen drawer pulls made from leather belts, orange gloss walls in the living room, and wood sunburst panels on the walls of the office. The three-time Grammy winner hasn’t said what she plans to do about redecorating yet.
