Angelina Jolie keeps Brad Pitt out of her £150 million paradise vineyard and dream home while Brangelina is fighting

Brad Pitt sues Angelina Jolie over French estate Château Miraval

During the rough divorce process between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the beautiful £150 million vineyard in the South of France called Chateau Miraval became the center of their court battles. Pitt bought the estate in 2008 with a 60–40 split in his favor. It has a long past and includes a 35-bed manor house, a recording studio where Pink Floyd recorded “The Wall,” and 1,000 acres of land. They used to share a dream home, but when Jolie sold her share to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler, it caused trouble.

There were a lot of accusations in court. Pitt’s lawyer called Jolie’s behavior “petulant” and questioned his winemaking skills, saying he “deals in illusions, not dirt and grapes.” Pitt saw Jolie’s sale of the farm as an act of betrayal and revenge. This was because in 2016, a judge gave Pitt joint custody of their children. Pitt liked Heineken more than wine at first, but they both agreed that making wine was part of their plan for the farm.

The disagreement over the vineyard brought out the different stories of their once-happily married start. In 2005, Pitt broke up with Jennifer Aniston for Angelina Jolie, making them the most watched couple in the world. In 2007, they went house-hunting in France to get away from the attention of being famous. They found paradise at the Miraval farm, which had lots of land and nice features.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in a tough spot that would be perfect for HGTV or Vanity Fair.

Even though there are still lawsuits and accusations, Chateau Miraval’s history shows that the pair wanted privacy and a safe place for their growing family. What began as a sign of love and escape has turned into a complicated story of anger and court battles, showing how a once-enviable Hollywood power couple has fallen apart.

Brad and I moved the garden tables around and had lunch there. The wines from Miraval were very good, and afterward we walked the rest of the property.

The couple are now at loggerheads over the £150million vineyard they own in the South of France

“They seemed eager to buy it at that moment.”

Pitt told Bove, “This is the first place we’ve been to where Angie is smiling.”

When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got married in 2014, it was part of their perfect life at Chateau Miraval. Pitt gave Jolie 10% of his share of the vineyard as a wedding gift during the small service held in the estate’s old chapel. Some people suggested adding a “doomsday clause” to the contract to cover how property would be divided if they got divorced. Pitt turned down the idea, sure that they would stay together forever. This choice would later play a big role in the ongoing legal battles.

They can’t agree on what to do with the £150 million farm they own in the South of France.

Pitt’s lawyers said that the couple had an unofficial deal not to sell the house without both of their permission, but Jolie denied this. The couple hired Tom Bove to take care of their estate, which gave Bove an inside look at their famous life. Hollywood stars quickly moved to Miraval. Johnny Depp, George Clooney, John Malkovich, and George Lucas all bought homes nearby.

The house was completely redone, and Pitt added a touch of California to Provence. There were movers, nannies, cooks, maids, cleaners, personal helpers, and vans full of furniture moving around the property. Well-known furniture designer Frank Pollaro, who was flown in from New Jersey, helped make the house feel more like home. Pitt and Angelina Jolie showed how much they cared by giving Jolie a French desk from the 1920s that had a mother-of-pearl constellation that matched her Gemini birth sign as a birthday gift.

During this time, Pitt’s taste in wine also grew. Interested in learning more, he went up to Pollaro and asked to learn more about wine. Pitt was happy when Pollaro gave him a bottle of Chateauneuf-du-Pape in 2009; he said, “That wine sure was terrific, and Angie loved it too.” At Chateau Miraval, these times of shared happiness and working together showed a life full of love, creativity, and doing what you love.

“Letter of love to wife”

In the beginning, Brad Pitt liked Heineken more than wine, but his experience at Miraval changed everything. Pitt wanted to make a world-class wine with Marc Perrin, the winemaker behind the Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine that Frank Pollaro gave him. This project not only showed their dedication to quality, but it also showed how they wanted to live a beautiful life on the land.

Vanity Fair said that Miraval was a safe place where the family lived a happy life. It was clear that Pitt wanted to protect his family from the stresses of famous life by adding things like 30 small screens showing pictures of his kids and a petting zoo with goats, chickens, and peacocks. This movie was Pitt’s love letter to his wife and kids.

Miraval Rosé was a big hit when it came out in 2012. The first 6,000 bottles sold out in five hours, making it a great start for the wine business. The farm sold more than just wine. It also had honey, olive oil, skin care products, and music made at Miraval Studios. In 2021, sales hit an impressive £38 million, showing how successful Miraval was in many ways.

The split between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie was one of the worst in Hollywood history.

Gary Bradbury, who is in charge of security at Miraval, said that Pitt was very committed to both his wife and the estate. Pitt was in charge of rebuilding for eight to twelve hours a day, but he always found time for his kids, showing his love for them and making Miraval a perfect place for them to live.

Gary explained, “He’d tell me to knock on his door at 1:00 so he could get the quads ready for the kids to ride on the estate.”

Or he’d take the kids to the lake to fish.

“He made sure that his kids could always reach him.”

“Angie would bring lunch, and we’d all have a picnic there.”

“There was a lot of love and romance in it.”

“I used to leave with my sandwich.”

“It was their turn.”

For Hollywood star Brad Pitt, the peaceful life at Miraval, where he liked to jog through the nearby woods and play his guitar on a rock, was like a dream come true. Pitt, who liked playing a farmer, wanted to turn a part of Miraval into an artist’s village where people could live a creative and easygoing life.

The peaceful mood at Miraval, on the other hand, changed drastically in September 2016. According to reports, Pitt attacked Angelina Jolie while drunk on a trip, which was the start of a rough time. Even though no charges were brought, Jolie quickly filed for divorce, which started a legal fight over custody of Miraval.

The fight got worse when Jolie sold her share of Miraval in October 2021. Pitt says he learned about this from a news release. Pitt sued Angelina Jolie in February of the next year, saying that she had illegally sold her share to a competitor in order to hurt him and the business.

Neuvel, Jolie’s old investment company, called Pitt’s actions those of a “petulant child” and accused him of “looting” the vineyard, fueling the legal back and forth. Then there are claims that Pitt spent millions of dollars on pointless projects.

In May, Brad checks the plants on his property.

The sad turn of events shows how different the couple’s relationship with Miraval is from the love they had for the estate to the bitter legal fights they are now in. In a touching email to Pitt four years after they got divorced, Jolie talked about Miraval as the place where they brought their kids home and said their vows. She also talked about how important the property was to both of them emotionally.

“A place I thought I would get old.”

“But it’s also the spot where our family’s end began.”
