With his hat-trick in Nice, Mbappe became the youngest player in Europe’s top five clubs and international games to score 300 goals. He is now 24 years, 10 months, and 29 days old.

Kylian Mbappe, captain of France, was more proud of his team’s win over Gibraltar on Saturday than of his own personal milestone. Didier Deschamps’ team dominated in a record 14-0 win.

With his three goals in Nice, Mbappe became the youngest player in Europe’s top five clubs and international games to score 300 goals. He did this at the age of 24 years, 10 months, and 29 days.

As captain, Mbappe led his team to a memorable win, which was the biggest win in a European qualifier and France’s biggest win ever. He wanted to focus on what the team had done.

“We need to stress the victory as a team,” Mbappe said.

“France has had many good teams, so to break this record for the biggest win is really something.” You should value a team best more than your own best.

“The 300 goals scored in my career is a new milestone for me but it takes a back seat because the team put in an extraordinary performance today.”

Messi scored his 300th goal when he was 25 years, 4 months, and 3 days old. But Ronaldo, a former teammate at Paris St. Germain, knows he still has a long way to go to match Messi and Ronaldo’s career numbers.

“It’s crazy that some players got 800, others 850, and 300 right next to it! “It’s a step forward for me, and I want to keep being important for my club and my country,” Mbappe said.

It was a big deal that goal number 300 was reached. Youssouf Fofana passed the ball to Mbappe, who saw the Gibraltar goalkeeper off his line and hit a beautiful lob from 40 meters out. He said that he had been thinking about where the goalkeeper was sitting during the game.

“I had been staring at the other goalkeeper for 20 to 25 minutes. I could see that he was very far ahead, but I didn’t know why.” From then on, it’s just gut.

“I know right away that I’m going to do that when Youssouf gets the ball.” It worked out for me today, but maybe not tomorrow.”

France was so good that they scored seven goals in each half against Gibraltar, who was down to 10 players after 18 minutes and already behind 3-0.

“We wanted to go down in history and we did it collectively,” Mbappe stated.

“We had the objective of beating the record for the biggest win, the coach told us that there was something to go for, that’s why we had this seriousness throughout the game.”

Mbappe not only scored three goals, but he also set up three others. He seemed happy to set up goals for his teammates on the night, which helped them get the record win.

“The armband forces you to change, if you don’t want to change, you’re not cut out to be captain,” Mbappe stated.

“Before I was captain, I had a slightly more separate view of my game and score.” Because I’m now captain, I have to put other people first.”

Also, with 46 goals, Mbappe passed Antoine Griezmann to become third on France’s all-time list of top scorers. He is now only five goals behind Thierry Henry, who is in second place.
