Rihanna and Asap Rocky’s Sky-High Kingdom: Unveiling the Century’s Grandest Mansion on the 40th Floor with Exclusive Views

One of the priciest and most expensive residential towers in Los Angeles, The Century, has been Rihanna’s permanent residence since 2014. With a new baby and a second child on the way, staff, and her omnipresent entourage, she feels a touch overwhelmed in her three-bedroom, 3,500-square-foot home.

To remedy this situation, the superstar from Barbados paid $21 million to buy a penthouse that occupies the entire 40th floor of The Century, one of the building’s largest homes. With almost 9,000 square feet of living space, various unique features, and spectacular views, this spread is suited for an A-list celebrity.

Nick Molnar, a billionaire and co-founder of Afterpay, a digital company, sold the property after initially requesting $28 million. However, because the acquisition was completed on March 31, just one day before the new tax went into effect, Rihanna likely leveraged L.A.’s mansion tax to negotiate a sizable decrease. If the purchase had been finalized in April, Molnar would have owed an additional $1.1 million in taxes.

As soon as guests exit the private elevator landing into the condo’s entrance gallery, they are astonished by the curved wall of floor to ceiling windows in the living area, which offers views of the metropolitan skyline. Dark brown hardwood floors from the dining room flow into the white kitchen with its two islands, marble countertops, and top-notch appliances.

The house also features a master suite with a curved bedroom, two custom closets, two bathrooms, and a separate lounge in addition to a soundproof movie theater with velour sofas. Probably the most striking aspect of the condo are its four different outdoor terraces, which face north, south, east, and west and provide expansive views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, skyscrapers in Downtown Los Angeles, the San Gabriel mountains, and even the snow-capped Mount Baldy.

The building’s greatest features are all available to Rihanna’s $8,814, monthly HOA fee, which includes four deeded parking spaces in the garage, a round-the-clock concierge, security personnel, access to an outdoor pool and lush gardens, on-site storage, an on-site restaurant, conference rooms, and much more.
