Joe Gomez, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones and Ibrahima Konate have all returned to training ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League meeting with Manchester City this weekend.
The quartet all missed the victory over Brentford before the international break. Gomez missed out through an unexplained issue with summer signing Gravenberch absent due to a knee problem.
.
Jones missed the Europa League matches against Toulouse and the Bees due to a thigh injury, while Konate had to withdraw from the France team during the international break due to a hamstring problem.
All four were back in training on Thursday, joined by the South American contingent of Alisson Becker, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Alexis Mac Allister after returning to Merseyside this week.
Liverpool trails City by just one point going into their match on Saturday afternoon at the Etihad Stadium. The champions were held to a 4–4 draw away to Chelsea in their previous outing.
Jurgen Klopp remains without Andy Robertson who suffered a shoulder injury playing for Scotland against Spain during October’s international break.
The 29-year-old underwent surgery and has missed Liverpool’s last seven games.
In his absence, Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas have been deputising at left-back with Robertson unable to provide a clear timeframe for when he will be back to full fitness and ready to return to the starting XI.
