Paris Saint-Germain 5-2 Monaco: Luis Enrique’s team wins a thrilling Ligue 1 match with a goal from Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain, led by Luis Enrique, defeated Monaco at the Parc des Princes to increase their advantage atop Ligue 1 to four points. In addition to goals from Ousmane Dembele, Goncalo Ramos, Vitinha, and Randal Kolo Muani, Kylian Mbappe scored from the penalty spot. The visitors, still in third place, were led in scoring by Folarin Balogun and Takumi Minamino, an ex-Liverpool midfielder.

As the hosts put on a ruthless clinic against a determined and talented Monaco, Luis Enrique’s team has sent a message to Newcastle United, who visit to Paris in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

After Goncalo Ramos’ first goal and Kylian Mbappe’s penalty gave the Parisians a 2-1 lead, Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha scored two goals in as many minutes to put an end to the match.

Their best player, Takumi Minamino, equalized the score in the first half with a goal that was well-deserved, and Folarin Balogun, who had been added back into the starting lineup, scored a consolation goal after Vitinha had scored PSG’s fourth.

In extra time, Randal Kolo Muani scored PSG’s sixth goal.
