One of the most paid athletes in Europe for a boot deal is Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool, who has inked a lucrative multi-year agreement with Adidas.
This concludes the England international’s lengthy partnership with Under Armour, an American sportswear brand he initially partnered with in 2017.
Along with Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Barcelona’s Pedri, Alexander-Arnold will be representing the upcoming Adidas Predator boot generation.
Given the player’s worldwide profile and enormous commercial appeal, Adidas consider it a big coup that the 25-year-old chose to transfer after positive talks with the German firm about their intentions for him.
When he scored a beautifully placed equalizer for Liverpool in the 91st minute of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium, Alexander-Arnold was wearing a pair of Adidas Predator footwear that had not yet been launched.
Jurgen Klopp promoted the explosive right back to vice captain this season, and he has gladly taken on more responsibility as he approaches 300 appearances for his childhood club.
In a hybrid position, where he moves into midfield when Liverpool has the ball, Alexander-Arnold has been instrumental in the Reds’ comeback.
Under Gareth Southgate, he has also worked his way back into England’s lineup, and he started in midfield for the team’s most recent internationals against North Macedonia and Malta.
