GLOOMY DAY: Andre Onana and Man Utd stars glum as Ten Hag asks players to immediately back to training for Newcastle clash

Manchester United stars were pictured in a glum mood as they arrived at Carrington on Thursday afternoon.

The Red Devils were held to a 3-3 draw with Galatasaray on Wednesday night, as their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League knockout rounds took a big hit.

It’s clear that the United stars were still processing last night’s results as they turned up for training on Thursday, with many looked less than impressed.

The likes of Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho – who both scored on the night – were seen with blank expressions as they turned up to Carrington

Particular criticism was directed at goalkeeper Andre Onana after his performance against Galatasaray, as he gave up two disappointing goals.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper received particular flak for spilling the ball into his own net in the second goal, which gave Galatasaray a lifeline.

It is therefore understandable why the former Ajax goalie appeared solemn when he arrived at Carrington on Thursday in his Porsche Cayenne.

Notable arrivals at the training ground included Rasmus Hojlund, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Antony.

United’s stars were lambasted by pundits – including former Red Devil Rio Ferdinand – for their defensive collapse during the 3-3 draw.

French newspaper L’Equipe gave out some brutal ratings for the United team, with goalkeeper Onana getting a measly three out of 10 in their player ratings.

United’s outfield players weren’t spared, either, with Antony, Amrabat and Lindelof all scoring just four.

The team average came in at just 4.9 as Ten Hag’s team once again underperformed when it mattered in Europe’s leading competition.

Hojlund, Shaw, Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were all given a middling five out of 10, with goalscorers Garnacho and Scott McTominay getting six, and captain Fernandes top-scoring with seven.
