In a match for first place in the Premier League, Liverpool will face Fulham. After a pointless draw with Manchester City, they want to keep rolling.
This weekend, Liverpool will face Fulham in the Premier League with the hopes of keeping up their title challenge. If things work out well, they may even take first place by the end of the weekend. The Reds are looking to build on last week’s impressive performance, which resulted in a draw at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp is likely to make many changes to his starting eleven for this match and will deploy his team in a 4-3-3 shape. Trent-Alexander, Joel Matip, Darwin Nunez, and Alexis Mac Allister Curtis Jones, Virgil Van Dijk, and Arnold Domink Szoboslai will all start right away.
In an effort to keep a shutout at home, Caoimhin Kelleher will start in goal for the Reds. In the middle of Liverpool’s defense, Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip will aim to limit the opposition’s chances of scoring.
While Kostas Tsimikas maintains his impressive form at left back, Trent-Alexander Arnold will be the one to operate at right back.
As backup defenders, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate will be available from the bench.
Midfield
The three main center midfielders for Klopp’s squad, Curtis Jones, Alexis Mac Allister, and Dominik Szoboszlai, will want to dominate games from the heart of the pitch. In order for Liverpool to secure a resounding victory at Anfield, it is imperative that all three of them demonstrate excellent ball movement.
Harvey Elliot will sit on the bench for the first half in anticipation of a potential second-half opportunity.
Attack
While Mohamed Salah aims to make the most of his speed on the right side, Luis Diaz tries to steal the show as the left winger.
The Merseyside club’s offensive assault will be led by Darwin Nunez. The burden of scoring goals for his squad will primarily fall on the Uruguayan international.
Cody Gakpo will sit on the bench for the time being until he gets an opportunity to show his final third of the field.
